Commercial chefs prepare, season, and cook food for restaurants or caterers.
Their job involves:
- Verifying the quality of food by inspecting it.
- Food preparation, seasoning, and cooking.
- Using kitchen appliances.
- Dividing it into portions, plating it, and adding sauces, garnishes, and gravies.
- Food storage in facilities with controlled temperatures.
- Cooking by specific nutritional needs.

Commercial cooks may also:
- Create menus and project the amount of food needed.
- Instruct additional kitchen workers and apprentices.
Note: Cooks employed in catering or dining establishments’ commercial kitchens fall under this profession. It excludes jobs in factories or environments with minimal service, such as fast food, fast casual, or takeout restaurants, coffee shops, bars, or mall cafés with a restricted menu.

Stage 1:

Stage 2:
Technical Assessment
