VETASSESS Trade Occupation: Required Documents

Candidates who are submitting applications for trade occupation skill evaluations are required to provide specific documentation, which is organized into three categories: identity proof, qualifications, and employment evidence. The necessary documents are:

1. Identity Documents

To validate their personal information, candidates have to send identity documentation.
These include:

• Passport (Certified Copy) – A clear, valid copy of your passport.
• National Identification Card – If applicable.
• Birth Certificate – A translated version if not in English.
• Name Change Documents – If applicable (e.g., marriage certificate or legal name change document).

2. Educational Qualifications

Skill evaluation depends much on educational background. Applicants have to turn in:

• Trade Certificates/Diplomas – A certified copy of relevant trade-related qualifications.
• Academic Transcripts – A detailed record of subjects studied and grades achieved.
• Training Certificates – Additional certifications related to trade skills (if any).

3. Employment Evidence

To find whether the applicant satisfies industry criteria, VETASSESS calls for evidence of work experience. The needed paperwork consists:

• Employer Reference Letters – Official letters from prior and present companies outlining jobs, duties, and work length.
• Payslips – A minimum of three recent payslips for the current position.
• Taxation Records – Income tax returns, payroll documents, or other taxation records that verify employment history.
• Employment Contracts – Signed contracts that specify job details.
• Work Samples/Photographs – Pictures of finished projects, instruments used, and workplace.
• Trade License (If Required) – Some trade jobs call for a current trade license.

4. Documentation of International Employment Experience

If the applicant has worked outside of Australia, they need to show:

• Reference Letters from Overseas Employers
• Overseas Tax Records and Payslips
• Certificates for Work Completion

5. Proof of English Language Proficiency

While VETASSESS does not call for an English test, Australian skilled visa applicants may call for evidence of English competency. Among the approved tests are:

• IELTS – Minimum score requirements depend on visa subclass.
• PTE Academic
• TOEFL 

6. Practical Evidence (If Required)

• Videos of Work done
• Client Testimonies and Feedback Reports
• Blueprints and Designs – If applicable to the trade
• Work logs— Comprehensive notes of performed tasks.

7. Certification of Documents

Every material you turn in needs to be correctly certified. VETASSES calls for:

• Certified Copies –Documents have to be certified by a qualified government official, notary public, justice of the peace, or other authorised person.
• Accurate Translations – Documents that are not in English have to be translated by a qualified translator.
• Legible Scans – Acceptance of documents depends on their clarity and excellent quality.
